The widely popular Jacaranda Casino has opened its fourth casino at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja. Over 100 people have been employed at the casino and the grand opening event was attended by the chairman of the Sheraton Hotel, the chairman of Lagos State Lottery Commission and the press, amongst others.

The new casino is upmarket, entertaining and promises an enthralling gaming experience to gamers. Guests at the casino can expect the classic table games such as Texas Hold ‘Em Poker, Bingo, Baccarat, Easy Poker, Roulette and Blackjack, as well as the latest slot machines. Gamers will also be pleased to see a number of retro slot machines which will take them back to the time when this type of gaming was still in its infancy.

One of the goals of the latest casino is to boost the nightlife in the area. The 45 million dollar establishment has invested in stylish, exciting interiors to make sure the gaming, as well as the entertainment, is top-class and gives visitors the experience they expect from the leading casino group.

“I decided to open another outlet in Lagos because of my love for Nigeria and Nigerians. While Nigeria is the biggest economy in Africa, the people are strong and bold and can lead a protest not with violence but their voices,” Group managing director, John Storey, told reporters at the event.

While the casino industry is still considered to be in its infancy in Nigeria, the casino group continues to contribute to an upbeat, positive gaming culture in the area.

“Casino business in Nigeria is just at its infancy, because Nigerians are just getting used to nightlife. But with this opening, Lagos has become a much more fun place to be while we have employed over 100 people,” said Storey.
